So like you read before, I got an Amazon Echo for Christmas and ever since then I have been slowly making my home an Artificial Intelligence controlled house. The great thing about Wi-Fi controlled plugs is that even if you dont have an Amazon Echo, that you can still control your lights using your phone. So with this TP-Link plug, I use it to control the lights in my bedroom. I love being able to say "Alexa turn on the bedroom lights" and they click on followed by an "ok".
Utilizing the free app that you download to use this plug, is super easy and simple. You scan the QR Code and you are taken to either the Play Store or the App Store, and then you download, install, and within 5 minutes you are connected to your new device and ready to control it. I honestly didnt realize how much I actually needed/wanted something like this.
I come home from the store, weighed down with groceries and what have you and all i have to do is say "Alexa turn on the lights in the living room" and no more having to set bags down, fumble in the dark, and knocking things over.
