Avision Portable Scanner

So I got this really amazing portable scanner the other day, and I must say that this is going to be a great addition to my desktop scanner. This scanner is 100% self sufficient and doesn't need to be connected to a computer in order to work.

It scans directly to a thumb drive or SD card. The only thing you need to provide is power. Yes it is a small draw back, and would totally rock if it had an internal power source like a rechargeable battery or something of the sort, but that would make the machine to heavy, as it is now its just under (by guestimate 4lbs), the other draw back is that you can only scan photos and business cards and receipts or other documents 4x6 and under, would really rock if you could do full 8x11 sheets.

And unlike traditional desktop scanners, there is no "lamp warming" wait time. You plug it in, turn it on, and place the item to be scanned on the tray and it automatically self feeds and the whole thing is done in under 15 seconds. Unlike desktop scanners that have open the lid, position the document, warm the lamp, then scan preview, then scan, then save file as, open lid take out item, place new item, position it, close lid carefully so it doesn't blow the thing out of alignment, and repeat. The whole process taking sometimes up to a minute or more to do.

If you are someone who does scrapbooking or does photo scanning services, or has a lot of receipts then this is going to make your life so much easier.
