Universal Mobile Phone Lenses

So besides the package being completely jacked up this Universal phone clip lens system is actually pretty freaking cool.

I picked this up as a review item, and I have seen these around before and I just never understood what the fascination with them was. So when I got this in the mail I was like okay, you know, I'm objectively going to try this out and see what this is actually all about.

Putting it all together it's very simple and straightforward. You just clip it onto your phone, and you choose the lens that you want. So what comes in the box?

You get three different lenses, a macro, a wide-angle, a fisheye, lense caps, and a carrying bag. The difference between all three of them is in layman's term is the fish eye gives more of a bubble look to whatever picture you take.

The wide-angle lens allows you to get more of a larger amount of picture in the same frame, and the macro allows you to take very detailed up-close photographs as you can see by this up close picture of my fingerprint. Now if you are really into using your cell phone for
photography then you may love these.

However, it's been my experience that I just don't use them that often as my cellphone has pretty amazing built-in camera features. That being said I have found the macro lens more helpful than I would like to admit to!
So is it really worth picking one of these up? Well for the novelty of having changeable lenses for you cell phone, then yes very much so. If you do a lot of cellotography then yes. But are they practical for the everyday use, probably not. However, with many of them under $15 on either eBay or Amazon its worth picking one up. Especially if you are giving it as a gift.
